Dia daoibh a pháistí,
Seachtain eile déanta agus is beag atá fágtha! Tá a fhios agam go bhfuil sibh ag dúil go mór leis na laethanta saoire ach fan liom tamaillín eile más féidir lear! Bhí mé chomh sona gur bhain 19 agaibh an sprioc amach ar Sumdog agus ar ndóigh beidh a fhios againn faoi Nessy níos moille. Lean ar aghaidh leis an dea-iarracht agus déanfaidh sé sé maitheas duit gan dabht!
With yet another week finished, we have very few left to complete in Rang 3! I know at this point that you children and your new teachers are really looking forward to the summer holidays. If possible, stay with me for a little while longer. I was delighted that 19 of you have completed your Sumdog challenge last week. It wasn’t the easiest one set but you gave it your all and reached your target! Ar fheabhas! 11 of you continued to reach the 60 minute target on Nessy with many hitting way above that so a massive maith sibh! Keep going with this programme as it will benefit you so much in R4!
This week we follow a similar format, lots of work and a new maths topic ‘Estimation’. In school this provides much entertainment and competitiveness as quite often children can be so determined to get answers right, they frantically try counting as opposed to estimating!! I wonder will this happen at home! Perhaps when tidying your room or playroom you can gather your toys or clothes and Mum or Dad could estimate how many items you have in your pile!! With verbs and nouns complete we move on to lovely describing words or adjectives. An Domhan Thart Orainn and Taisce Tuisceanna deals with the much loved topic ‘An Trá’. I would like to draw your attention to two phrases –
Bhí an áit dubh le daoine – The place was crowded.
Bhí siad tógtha – They were excited.
Déanfaidh muid lch 62 – 63 inár leabhar Mata Meabhrach.
Ná déan dearmad – Beidh na leabhair léitheoireachta le fáil ar Google Classroom – Is breá liom na trácht uilig a léamh! Beidh dúshlán nua ar Sumdog agus níl ach 60 nóiméad a dhéanamh ar Nessy! Seo an sprioc nua atá ag Mr Breen fosta!!
