WW1 information and drama day
27th Apr 2022
We were delighted to have a fantastic visit from Navan fort and Heritage centre.
We met characters from the past such as Private Hennessy and Captain John.
Their costumes were excellent and they were very real in their mannerisms and appearance.
They told us more about WW1 and we got to use real equipment from the war to act out scenes.
We learnt about the different helmets, guns and grenades. We learnt how to salute and stand to attention.
After that we went for an informative talk with Paul and had a quiz sheet to complete.
Lastly we finished with arts and crafts with Sylvia. We got to make our own Victoria Cross medals.
It was a super way to spend a morning and want to thank everyone for the visit.
