Covid update

Dear Parents / Guardians,

Under new guidance just released by the Education Authority we are now allowed to inform parents / guardians if there are multiple cases of Covid-19 in a class.

The school has been notified that there are a number of cases in your child's class – P7 Mr Lavelle. High risk contacts will be contacted directly by the PHA Contact Tracing Service.

Even if your child has no symptoms, it would be advisable for your child to undertake a lateral flow Covid test (LFT) at home this evening (Friday).

All pupils in the class must undertake a lateral flow test Sunday evening before coming back to school.

If the lateral flow test is negative, and your child has no symptoms, your child can return to school.

If the lateral flow test is positive your child should isolate immediately and is now to be treated as a case of Covid-19. The PHA have said it is extremely important that you report your child's positive lateral flow test online so contact tracing can occur.
