Girls Win County Indoor Camogie - Thu 09 Mar 2017

Christian Brothers’ Primary School – Co. Armagh Camogie Champions.
The Christian Brothers’ Primary School are celebrating after their camogie team won the recent Allianz Cumann na mBunscol Co. Armagh Indoor Camogie title.  The C.B.S. girls had qualified for the Co. Armagh Finals after winning their Mid Armagh section.

The finals, held in the Orchard Leisure Centre, saw the Greenpark camogs compete against St Malachy’s Armagh, who had won the North Heat, and Clonalig Primary School, the South Armagh Champions.

The first game saw the Christian Brothers’ beat St. Malachy’s to set up a fixture against Clonalig to see who would be crowned Co. Armagh Champions and qualify for the Ulster Finals.  In a superb game, the skill levels of the C.B.S. shown through and they won the game 7-2. 

Delighted joint captains from the C.B.S., Mya McCooe and Catherine McCourt, were presented with the Allianz Cup by Armagh Camogie’s Catherine Beagan.  The Christian Brothers’ now travel to Magherafelt in Co. Derry on Wednesday 5th April to compete in the Ulster Finals.
